CEER Workshop on How to make consumer organisations’ involvement in the regulatory process most effective
20 February 2014, CEER - Cours Saint Michel 30a, 1040 Brussels

Workshop Information

In December 2013, CEER published its Status Review on the involvement of consumer organisations in the regulatory process. This document is the result of a thorough investigation of working relations between NRAs and consumer organisations. The overall aim of this review was to depict if, how and on which particular issues NRAs and consumer organisations collaborate.

The analysis was based on information received from both NRAs and members of the European Consumers' Organisation BEUC.

On 20 February 2014, CEER hosted a workshop on "How to make consumer organisations’ involvement in the regulatory process most effective". This workshop aimed to gather input for a CEER Advice paper planned to be published on this topic later in 2014. The workshop included short presentations on how consumer organisations and regulators currently cooperate, two case studies from the UK and Italy and an interactive session characterized by discussions in small groups.
