CEER 2016 Annual Conference
26 January 2016, Brussels
The focus of CEER’s 2016 annual conference was safeguarding Europe’s energy security of supply.
The event centred around 3 aspects:
- Strengthening gas security of supply through legislative (the “winter package”) proposals including a European strategy for LNG and gas storage.
- Making future electricity market secure including integrating renewables and making the future electricity market design and grids fit for purpose.
- Grid, off-grid, or smart grid? Efficient and smart network investment and system operation is important for security of supply.
This session addresses the regulatory and security of supply challenges of integrated grids now that more and more people are producing their own power (called distributed generation).
