ACER and CEER release joint response to the European Commission's EU electricity market design public consultation
The EU Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators (ACER) and CEER welcomed the European Commission’s attention to long-term markets as the key enabler for investment stability and affordability for consumers. The joint response comprises replies to nearly all of the Commission’s questions as well as an Annex, where ACER and CEER delve deeper into three elements that are subject to consultation. They also highlight aspects of the electricity market design framework that were not addressed by the Commission in its consultation, yet could have a significant impact on electricity market functioning.
