CEER and the Energy Community Regulatory Board (ECRB) are holding a webinar to present the on the 7th Benchmarking Report on the Quality of Electricity and Gas Supply!
This publication provides in-depth surveys and analyses of the quality of electricity and gas supply across Europe with associated recommendations for good regulatory practices. The report constitutes an essential tool in the overall supervision of well-functioning energy markets and is of particular importance in a context of exceptionally high prices and challenging times for European energy markets. It compiles data from respondents from CEER Members and Observers and Energy Community Contracting Parties, covering a total of 39 countries.
The webinar will provide an opportunity to present the report's key findings. There will also be a short time allocated for a clarificatory Q&A session.
What Regulators Stood for in the Second Half of 2022 paper
On 26 January, CEER published its paper on What Regulators Stood for in the Second Half of 2022. The paper reviews the work we delivered and highlights what CEER considers to be some of our most important messages of the second half of the year.
During the second six months of 2022, CEER released:
• 2 publications focusing on customers and retail energy markets; • 2 publications focusing on gas decarbonisation; and • 3 publications on cross-sectoral issues.
"Lights on women" opportunity for female energy experts
Are you a woman as well as an energy expert? The European University Institute (EUI) in Florence is launching "Lights on women", a new database of women experts in energy – in the broadest sense, which also includes issues of energy project financing, carbon markets etc. If you are working on an energy-related topic, you might consider taking seven minutes to register. This can lead to invitations for speaking engagements at conferences and calls from journalists.
CEER Work Programme 2023 On 20 January, CEER published its 2023 Work Programme. This year's Work Programme comprises 20 public work items, which consist of four activities (webinars, workshops, conferences) and 16 deliverables (reports). All work items are related to regulatory dimensions of CEER’s "Empowering consumers for the energy transition" Strategy for the period 2022-2025 period: energy system integration, consumer-centric dynamic regulation and well-functioning markets. Report on Regulatory Frameworks for European Energy Networks 2022 This document, published on 19 January, presents the 2022 edition of the annual CEER report on regulatory frameworks for European energy networks. This report analyses different regulatory systems of electricity and gas networks (at the TSO and DSO level) in most EU Member States, Great Britain, Northern Ireland, Iceland and Norway. The report includes information on several Energy Community Regulatory Board (ECRB) countries (most of which are CEER Observers), including for the first time ever, Ukraine. The CEER Training Academy 2023 Calendar is Available Now!
Eighteen wide-ranging topics will be covered to deliver high-quality courses on the practice of regulation and job-related skills for regulatory staff.
To facilitate the participation of NRAs' staff in CEER Training Courses, the 2023 portfolio will propose different training formats: fully onsite (two days), fully online (three half days), hybrid (two days), and mini trainings (half day fully online, low cost).
Certain courses will be open to the public so that the participation of non-regulators will be welcomed in those courses.
