CEER 2016 Annual Conference

The CEER 2016 Annual Conference took place on Tuesday, 26 January 2016 at the Museum of Natural Sciences in Brussels (Rue Vautier 29, B-1000 Brussels)
The focus of CEER’s 2016 annual conference was safeguarding Europe’s energy security of supply.
The event centred around 3 aspects:
- Strengthening gas security of supply through legislative (the “winter package”) proposals including a European strategy for LNG and gas storage.
- Making future electricity market secure including integrating renewables and making the future electricity market design and grids fit for purpose.
- Grid, off-grid, or smart grid? Efficient and smart network investment and system operation is important for security of supply.

This session addresses the regulatory and security of supply challenges of integrated grids now that more and more people are producing their own power (called distributed generation).
