CEER Public Consultation on Flexibility Use at Distribution Level

Background

The CEER public consultation document (C16-DS-29-03) explores the role of DSOs in facilitating greater flexibility on the energy system. It sets out a draft advice how the regulatory framework may need to change to remove barriers and encourage flexibility use where it can minimise overall network costs, while optimising system performance and efficiency for the benefit of consumers.

CEER aims to collect feedback from stakeholders in order to define Guidelines of Good Practice (GGP) that will establish high-level guideline principles. These GGP will aid National Regulatory Authorities in their design of regulatory frameworks to facilitate flexibility use at distribution level.

The deadline for responses is Thursday,  25 May 2017.

CEER invites all interested stakeholders to respond to this public consultation by filling in the questionnaire (see tab  above).

Following the public consultation period, CEER will consider responses to this consultation carefully and prepare an evaluation of responses. We will then publish a conclusion report and take forward further relevant actions.
