CEER Webinar Series on Data Accessibility in February 2021

In February 2021, the Council of European Energy Regulators (CEER) will host a webinar series on data accessibility.

Generally, the digitalisation of the energy sector will result in more data, which, of course must be handled properly. Not only is data increasing in volume, but it is becoming more and more important to system operation. The System Operation Guideline (SOGL) already in place deals with data and specifically, the sharing of data among (transmission) operators.

CEER holds that Distribution System Operators (DSOs) should focus on the quality of their network data and data on Distributed Energy Resources (DER). Operators should make this data available to current or potential market participants in an accessible and safe manner. Data must be interoperable. This is explained in the CEER Conclusions Paper on Dynamic Regulation to Enable Digitalisation of the Energy System.

The aim of this webinar series is to share knowledge on data accessibility among all relevant stakeholders. The topic has been split into two webinars:

• The webinar to be held on Wednesday 10 February from 10:00 - 12:30 CET, will focus on consumer and market data.

Addressing/discussing the current situation and  trends on data accessibility, and with perspectives from the National Regulatory Authorities (NRAs) and academia.

The agenda and registration link can be found here.

• The webinar to be held on Wednesday 17 February from 10:00 - 12:30 CET, will focus on system data.

Addressing/discussing the current regulatory perspective and NRA experiences; Transmission System Operators (TSOs) and DSOs also will present their views.

The agenda and registration link can be found here.

Both webinars are open to all, so we look forward to seeing many of you online at one or both of the webinars.
