CEER Training on Network Tariffs for Transmission and Distribution

Course Organisation



This tailored course aims to provide participants with in-depth knowledge of network tariff regulation for transmission and distribution. The course consists of two modules: 

Module 1 - Framework and tools for network tariffs

     • Review the approaches to network regulation and the overarching policy decisions determining how tariff setting in gas and electricity is undertaken

     • Explore the fundamental elements of tariff setting including network tariff level, network connection charges, network tariff structures, etc.

    • Discuss the different national case studies of applying tariff setting tools and practices in gas and electricity in Europe

Module 2 - Incentive regulation

With the sessions in this module, participants will have the opportunity to:

    • Take a closer look at incentive regulation: principles of incentive regulation and national case studies in applying incentive tools

With lecturers from NRAs as well as academia and research industry, this course provides participants with a unique opportunity to exchange knowledge with experts in the field of network tariff regulation.

Module 1 - Framework and tools for network tariffs: €960 ex. VAT* (or 2 training credits)

Module 2 - Incentive regulation: €480 ex. VAT* (or 1 training credit)  

Course fee includes lunches, coffee breaks during the course and one group dinner, not including travel and accommodation costs.
