This tailor-made CEER online training programme is designed for experts from National Regulatory Authorities (NRAs) who want to improve their expertise and exchange experiences in setting network incentive regulation and supporting innovation. Other experts from European Institutions (ACER, European Commission) are also invited to attend.

  • A series of online classes which give the participants the opportunities to participate in interesting presentations, discussions and exchanges with the trainers and other participants via an interactive online training platform.
  • Access to interesting literature review and reading materials on the topics addressed in the course.
  • Interesting exercises and course work that participants need to prepare in advance to contribute to the online debates during the online classes.

before the online classes:

Individual preparation to the course: Literature review, reading materials, preparation of course work

The course is specifically designed for participants from National Regulatory Agencies, European Institutions, other public authorities and non- member regulators looking for an introduction to, and a comprehensive overview of EU energy regulatory principles and practice. Only representatives/staff from these categories are allowed to participate

EU energy regulation and energy policy: the landscape

Introduction to the European legal framework for energy: logic and dynamics

Retail markets and consumer protection and future energy systems

Module 2 (04-06 April) | European Electricity and Gas Market Regulation:

Introduction to Gas Markets and Grids

Introduction to Electricity Markets and Grids

Regulating electricity and gas monopolies and the link between energy and competition policies
