CEER at E-World Energy & Water 2024
On 21 February, at E-world energy & water 2024, Martina Schusterova, CEER Deputy Secretary General, emphasised the crucial role of smart meters in delivering direct benefits to consumers. She highlighted the importance of consumer access to information and the need for a comprehensive deployment of smart meters to help with the development of a more dynamic and flexible market. The Future Forum at E-world Energy & Water is dedicated to discussing the prospects of a resilient and robust smart metering sector throughout Europe.

CEER Report on The Influence of New LNG Terminals on the Future EU Energy Market
16 February 2024

This report looks at the impact of the new LNG terminals on the future EU energy market. It is based on the analysis of the LNG import, storage and regasification existing capacities, the recently commissioned ones as well as those planned for the coming years, including capacity increases in existing terminals and new LNG projects, both onshore and/or FSRU. The objective of the report is to have an overall vision of the evolution of this key activity and the potential impact on the EU internal energy market.

CEER Report on Regulatory Frameworks for European Energy Networks 2023

This report provides a general overview of the regulatory regimes applied in 2023 and the required efficiency developments. It analyses the overall determination of capital costs of CEER Members plus Northern Ireland and five Energy Community Regulatory Board (ECRB) members, most of which are CEER Observers, including Ukraine. A major focus is placed on the calculation of an adequate rate of return (RoR), the determination of the regulatory asset base (RAB) and the depreciation of assets in the different regulatory regimes.

EU4Energy
Ozzy the Hamster travels to Armenia & Moldova 
On 31 January, the EU4Energy renewable energy campaign continued with a renewable energy workshop in schools in Yerevan and Chisinau. A workshop was also organised in Chisinau with support from the EU-funded project "Strategic Communication and Support to Mass-Media in the Republic of Moldova". The campaign aims to introduce schoolchildren to renewable energies and their significance. In 2024, it will be expanded to cover more schools across all the Eastern Partnership countries.

From Aspiration to Implementation: Delivering an Energy System Fit For All Consumers
This year’s Customer Conference will explore recently approved legislation packages and how they can best be implemented by EU energy stakeholders to ensure a positive impact on consumers EMD Directive, Energy Efficiency Directive and Gas Decarbonisation Package. The discussions will be articulated around three pillars: consumer protection, consumer empowerment and decarbonisation. The three sessions will cover electricity, gas and heating issues, with a focus on implementing consumer rights.

ACER-CEER Webinar on Gas Storage Regulation
CEER and EU Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators (ACER) invite you to a webinar where a two-part consultancy study on the impact of the EU and national gas storage regulations will be presented. The webinar will also offer insights into the ongoing implementation of the EU gas storage Regulation EU 2022/1032.
