Course Organisation

Designed for: 

Experts from National Regulatory Authorities with previous experience in gas market regulation (at least 2-3 years experience). 

Programme overview: 

    • Review the Gas Target Model and its Update and discuss national experiences in the implementation of the recommendations in the Gas Target Model Update and identification of possible regulatory challenges 

    • Understand the new developments in the gas markets in Europe and explore some regulatory approaches to deal with their changing dynamics 

    • Examine the challenges related to the implementation of Network Codes in Gas and discuss some case studies of pilot projects for the early implementation 

    • Participate in interesting discussions on how to better coordinate gas and electricity markets and the role of regulators 


We will have the valuable contribution from the following external senior experts to the programme:

   - Aude Filippi - Powernext
   - Jacques de Jong - Clingendaelenergy

The other lecturers of this course come from the Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators (ACER) and a wide variety of National Regulatory Authorities (NRAs) including CREG (Belgium), CRE (France), RAE (Greece), CNMC (Spain), BNetzA (Germany), AEEGSI (Italy) and others. With the impressive line-up of lecturers who are senior experts working directly with gas market regulation issues, this course provides participants with a unique opportunity to exchange experience with experts and colleagues from other NRAs.

Course fee includes lunches, coffee breaks during the course and one group dinner, not including travel and accommodation costs.


This course is only open to participants from National Regulatory Authorities. Priority is given to CEER members.

Cancellation policy:

- Should you be unable to attend, a substitute delegate is welcome at no extra charge.

- No course fee will be applied if written cancellation requests are received at least 3 days before the first day of the course. Full course fees will be applied for cancellation requests received after this deadline.
