CEER appoints Bram Claeys as new Secretary General
The Council of European Energy Regulators (CEER) announces today the appointment of Bram Claeys as its new Secretary General.
Mr Claeys brings more than two decades of senior-level experience in energy policy and regulation at national, European and international levels. As Secretary General, Mr Claeys will work closely with the CEER President and Vice Presidents to deliver CEER’s strategic objectives, while leading the Secretariat in Brussels and supporting effective regulatory cooperation across Europe.
The New CEER Secretary General, Mr Claeys, stated:
“It is a privilege to take on the role of Secretary General at CEER. At this pivotal moment for Europe’s energy sector, strong, independent regulation is indispensable to delivering decarbonisation in consumers’ interests. I look forward to working closely with CEER Members and Observers to strengthen cooperation, ensure the swift and effective implementation of the new regulatory framework, and reinforce CEER’s role in advancing resilient, well-functioning European energy markets.”
