Media Seminar of the EU4Energy Project Phase II on Promoting the Clean Energy Transition in the Eastern Partnership Countries

A two-day media seminar took place on 10-11 March 2025. This seminar was specifically designed for journalists covering energy-related topics in the Republic of Armenia and aimed to support the Public Services Regulatory Commission of Armenia (PSRC) in enhancing its communication with the media.

Given the complexity of energy topics and their significance in daily life, the seminar has addressed the challenge of simplifying intricate concepts for broader understanding.

Joint Regional Workshop on Customer Empowerment and Protection

The Council of European Energy Regulators (CEER) and the Energy Community Secretariat (EnCS) have jointly hosted a two-day regional workshop on Consumer Protection and Empowerment in Brussels, Belgium, from 12 to 13 March, 2025.

The event brought together energy sector representatives from the Eastern Partnership countries with the primary objective of improving the understanding of National Regulatory Authority (NRA) staff and market participants regarding the essential components of consumer protection and empowerment in both the European Union and the Energy Community.

Final Conference of EU4Energy Phase II: Celebrating Achievements and Building the Future of Armenia’s Energy Sector

The Final Conference of the EU4Energy Phase II Programme aimed at promoting the clean energy transition in the Eastern Partnership countries took place on 7 April 2025, in Yerevan, the Republic of Armenia. The event brought together key stakeholders from the country’s energy sector to reflect on the achievements and lessons learned from the EU4Energy project while exploring future opportunities.

The event aimed to encourage an environment of open dialogue by bringing together policymakers, experts, academia, and organisations focused on creating a cleaner and more sustainable energy future.

Joint Regional Workshop on New Roles of DSOs under the Clean Energy Package

The Council of European Energy Regulators (CEER) and the Energy Community Secretariat (EnCS) hosted a two-day Regional Workshop on the New Roles of Distribution System Operators (DSOs) under the Clean Energy Package on 9-10 April, 2025, in Moldova.

Building on the success of the first regional workshop on the same topic and based on the growing importance of enhancing the regulatory framework and capacity of DSOs in the Eastern Partnership (EaP) region, this was the second workshop organised by CEER and EnCS around the topic. The event brought together representatives from national regulatory authorities and DSOs from the Eastern Partnership Countries.

The primary goal of this event was to enhance the participants’ understanding of distribution system operations in the context of the new design of the electricity market, with a strong emphasis on integrating renewable energy sources and accommodating new market participants in the electricity market, thereby addressing the objectives laid out in the Clean Energy Package.

EU4Energy at the Europe Days in the Eastern Partnership Countries

To increase the visibility of EU4Energy campaigns and raise awareness among children, the project was represented at Europe Days in Armenia, Georgia and the Republic of Moldova.

The main aim was to educate younger generations about energy-saving practices, renewable energy, and the environmental harm caused by wasting energy. Interactive educational materials and activities were available at the stand to engage visitors and encourage a deeper understanding of these critical topics.
