CEER Event on Independence in Action: Recordings Now Available
On 27 May 2025, CEER hosted a full-day hybrid workshop at its premises in Brussels, focusing on a cornerstone of effective energy regulation: regulatory independence.
The event brought together high-level speakers and institutional representatives from across Europe and beyond to explore how the independence of National Regulatory Authorities (NRAs) can be strengthened in today’s evolving energy landscape. Discussions covered legal frameworks, practical experiences, and strategies to protect the credibility and effectiveness of regulators.
Regulatory independence is not just a legal formality. It is essential for trust, stability, and progress in the energy sector. As regulators continue to face growing challenges since the start of the energy crisis, their ability to act independently, transparently, and with public trust remains critical.
