Deadline Extended: Public Consultation on the Handbook for National Energy Regulators on Retail Markets

CEER has extended the deadline for its public consultation on the updated Handbook for National Energy Regulators – How to assess retail market functioning. Stakeholders now have until 7 MAY to share their feedback via a simple online questionnaire (no login required).

This consultation focuses on gathering input on the proposed key properties and metrics used to evaluate national retail energy markets. The revised Handbook builds on the original 2017 version and incorporates updates aligned with the latest European energy legislation, including the Clean Energy for All Europeans Package (CEP), the Electricity Market Design (EMD), and the Gas Decarbonisation Package.

The Handbook remains a vital tool for national regulatory authorities (NRAs) to monitor and assess retail energy markets effectively.

CEER encourages national regulators, consumer bodies, and market participants to take advantage of the extended deadline and contribute their views.
