CEER elects Claire Hellich-Praquin as Vice President

On 15 September 2016, the Council of European Energy Regulators (CEER) has elected Claire Hellich-Praquin as Vice-President, following a vote at CEER's 204th General Assembly, held in Dublin and hosted by the Commission for Regulation of Utilities (CRU). Her term will run until 30 November 2027, in line with CEER's other Vice-Presidents.

Claire is Director of European & International Affairs and Cooperation at the French Energy Regulatory Commission (CRE), where she leads the team responsible for shaping CRE's influence within European regulatory bodies, including CEER and the EU Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators (ACER), and for fostering partnerships with non-EU regulatory authorities.

She has chaired CEER's International Relations Group (IRG) since 2022. A former lawyer, she brings over two decades of experience in European and international energy policy, competition law and institutional cooperation. Claire regularly represents France at key European forums on regulatory alignment, cross-border energy cooperation and sustainability challenges

She joins CEER's existing Vice-Presidents: Koen Locquet, Alda Ozola, Veli-Pekka Saajo and Dietmar Preinstorfer.

Claire's election is a significant milestone for CEER's Women in Energy Initiative, which works to promote gender balance and support women's leadership across Europe's energy regulatory community.
