Women in Energy Awayday (Breakfast + Training)

CEER organised an in-person Women in Energy Awayday on 15 October 2025 at its Secretariat in Brussels, bringing together professionals to discuss and train on gender equality in the energy sector. The event featured a networking breakfast, updates on ongoing initiatives, international perspectives, and a dedicated training session.

The morning began with opening remarks from Raphael Hanoteaux (CEER), Ditte Juul Jørgensen (European Commission – DG Energy), Barbie Haller (BNetzA, via video), and Nadia Horstmann (CEER/BNetzA). Participants then reviewed the latest CEER survey on women’s empowerment, followed by discussions on aligning public and private entities around gender policies, salary transparency, and mentorship programmes.

Speakers included representatives from ACER, ENGIE, GEODE, ARERA, and ERO-KS, as well as contributions from Annegret Groebel (CEER President) and Rosalinde Van der Vlies (European Commission-DG ENER) via video. Interactive polls engaged attendees in sharing experiences and ideas for strengthening women’s roles in the energy sector.

The event also featured insights from regulators in the Eastern Partnership Countries and the Mediterranean Region, updates from the Energy Equality Platform, and the presentation of the new CEER Women in Energy Charter and logo.

The day concluded with a training session, “Driving Change from Within: Tools and Strategies for a More Gender-Equal Workplace,” led by Isabella Lenarduzzi, Managing Director and Founder of JUMP, Solutions for Equity at Work.
